Privacy policy.
How the Swiss Association of Relocation Agents handles personal data on this website. Adopted on 16 September 2026.
Who is responsible
The controller for the personal data processed through this website is the Swiss Association of Relocation Agents (SARA). For any question about this policy, or to exercise the rights described below, write to board@sara-relocation.com.
What this website collects
This site is a set of static pages. It runs no analytics or tracking, and loads no fonts, scripts or images from third parties — everything is served from our own server. Nothing you do on this site is profiled, and no data is sold or shared for advertising.
Like any web server, our host records technical data each time a page is requested: the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the browser and operating system, and the page you came from. These logs are kept by our hosting provider, Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland), on servers located in Switzerland. They are used to operate and secure the site, and to diagnose faults — not to identify visitors.
When you write to us
The addresses shown on this site open your own email programme; no form on this site transmits data to us. If you write to the board, we process your name, your address and the content of your message in order to answer you — nothing more.
The member directory
The directory lists our member companies — company name and website. It contains no personal data beyond what those companies have asked us to publish as part of their membership. A member may ask at any time for their entry to be corrected or removed.
The Executive Board page
The page presenting the committee shows the name, role and company of each elected member, together with a link to their professional LinkedIn profile, published with their agreement in the interest of the association's transparency towards its members.
Cookies
The first time you arrive, a banner asks what you allow. Two categories exist:
- Strictly necessary — a single cookie,
sara_consent, which records your answer so we do not ask again. It expires after six months, contains only your choice and its date, and is never shared. - Strictly necessary, on the members' page only — when a member opens the Resources page and enters the password, a session cookie keeps them signed in for the time of their visit. It holds no personal data and disappears when the browser is closed.
- Audience measurement — anonymous statistics on which pages are read. No measurement tool is installed today, so nothing is set in this category; your choice will apply the day one is added.
Nothing is stored on your device before you answer. Refusing costs you nothing: the site works identically. You can change your mind at any time through the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of any page, or by deleting the cookie in your browser.
Links to other websites
This site links to member companies, to partner associations and to LinkedIn. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's website, governed by their own privacy policy — we have no control over what they collect.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, and under the GDPR where it applies to you, you may ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing, and receive a copy of it. Write to board@sara-relocation.com; we answer within 72 hours. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern, or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
Changes to this policy
If the site changes — a contact form, a members' area, or statistics — this page will be updated before the change goes live, and the date at the top will say when.
